Lisa
Catterall received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing
from Calif. State University, Chico in 1979. She worked
as a registered nurse in labor and delivery in Florida,
Arizona and California for 5 years and then attended
the University of Arizona to receive her Certificate
of Nurse-Midwifery in 1983. She established the first
nurse-midwifery service in Chico, receiving Allied Health
Professional privileges in 1984 at Enloe Medical Center.
Since then she has attended over 2500 women in childbirth.
She has been a chapter chairperson for the American
College of Nurse-Midwives and is a founding member of
the Calif. Nurse-Midwifery Association. Lisa has taught
childbirth classes thru Butte College and is currently
enrolled in the Master of Science in nursing program
at CSU, Chico, expecting to complete her thesis on distance
education for graduate level nurses. Lisa is married
to Steve, a jeweler, who has been wonderfully supportive
for 25 years and has two children - Chelsea and Seth.
She is an avid gardener, loves to travel and is working
on a mountain cabin in McCloud Ca.
